The Polar Express and Santa Run Through Barefoot Landing

Posted in Special Events

The all-time holiday classic "The Polar Express" is making a one day special stop at Barefoot Landing on Saturday, December 17th for a free showing at 5 pm.

But before the excitement of the movie, stop by to hear the sounds of Carolina Vocals' students at 3:00 pm as they sing some of their favorite holiday tunes. Then kids can visit with not only the Jolly Old Elf himself, but also Mrs. Claus. Santa and Mrs. Claus will touch down at Barefoot Landing for a brief visit before rushing back to the North Pole to get ready for the big day. They will be available for photos, and everyone will receive one free souvenir photo with the option to buy additional photos.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in front of the big Christmas tree in Lakeview Courtyard by the carousel at 3:30 and they can't wait to visit with all the children and hear what they want for Christmas. And you never know, Santa and Mrs. Claus may even stop off and do some of their shopping right here at Barefoot Landing!

Then the great holiday train pulls into Barefoot Landing with the movie "The Polar Express" starting at 5 pm. Each movie goer will receive a free bag of movie theater popcorn compliments of Colette's Popcorn, and they will also be selling hot chocolate to warm you up during the movie.

So don't be naughty, be nice and bundle the whole family up for some seasonal fun and holiday memories. Bring your chairs, your blankets and your Christmas wish list to Barefoot Landing on Saturday, December 17th starting at 3:30 for visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus and then a free showing of "The Polar Express" at 5pm.
