Have you heard? Ms. Lucy Buffett herself will be sharing the "Gumbo Love" with a book signing event featuring her latest cookbook, Gumbo Love at Barefoot Landing on Saturday, July 22nd from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Lakeside Village near the carousel.
Lucy, an author, restaurateur and sister to the famous musician, Jimmy Buffett, plans to open her third LuLu's location at Barefoot Landing in 2018. LuLu's will be part of the all new walkable restaurant district, also coming to Barefoot Landing in 2018.
Lucy loves to write about gulf coast cooking and in particular gumbo. Her newest cookbook, Gumbo Love was a labor of love and includes recipes from all over the Gulf Coast. She combines over 100 new recipes with some old favorites and we have our fingers crossed that a few of these spicy, sumptuous dishes will be featured at her new restaurant coming to Barefoot in 2018. Within the cookbook, you'll find some humorous stories about what it takes to make gumbo and how it helped Lucy become the independent, empowered woman she is today.
