Wine Lovers Must Check Out Carolina Vineyards New Location at Barefoot Landing

Posted in Shopping

The concept of Carolina Vineyards, a local winery that has been around for many years, started in the home of Tim and Carrie Walker, who made wine as a hobby back in 1995. Eventually they decided to turn their passion into their livelihood, and that is where Barefoot Landing comes in!

In May of 2005, Tim Walker decided to branch out and bring their tasty libations to their original location within the center. Just recently, Carolina Vineyards moved and opened their new Tasting Room on the opposite side of the lake in a beautiful spot between Beach House and The Fudgery.

All wines are dry, medium or sweet versions of the varietal and fruit wines. Tim Walker said "our specialty is producing traditional South Carolina style wine from South Carolina grown fruits."

In the new location, not only can you do wine tastings of all of the 35 different flavors, but you can get a frozen wine smoothie to cool you off on a hot day (through October), but you can also shop for all your wine lover friends back home with a wide variety of retail for all the "fruity" folks in your life. You can also sit and relax either inside at their new wine bar or outside on their comfortable patio.

So whether you'd like to taste one of their most popular wines such as Tropical Escape or Blackberry Mango or prefer to sip a glass and relax or even if you're just looking for a fun souvenir for the wine connoisseur in your life, you must stop by Carolina Vineyards' new location in the Low Country Village on the North side of the lake.
