Cold Weather Got You Down? Let Barefoot Landing Warm You Up!

Posted in Dining , Shopping

January always means colder weather, even here in North Myrtle Beach! When the numbers on the thermometer take a dive, don't let it bring you down too. Take a walk on the sunny side, along the boardwalks of Barefoot Landing where the sun shines and the stores are full of lots of cold weather items to warm you up.

As you stroll, watching the ducks and swans swim peacefully on the lake, stop by M.R. Ducks for a long sleeved t-shirt or even a Yeti to keep your coffee from getting cold in these temperatures. Breezin' Up is the only store that carries North Myrtle Beach apparel including fluffy sweatshirts, sweat pants and long sleeved shirts to make you feel cozy all winter long.

If you'd rather something a little more dressy, there are always good sales on winter sweaters, dresses, pants and even shoes at Francesca's, Chico's, random boutique or White HouselBlack Market. While you're there, check out accessories and scarves to spruce up any outfit while keeping you toasty.

Warm up your insides with a sampling of various pepper and hot sauces found at Pepper Palace or teas from South Carolina that can be purchased only at Barefoot General Store. Then there's always the tried and true glass of wine to give you a different kind of feeling of warmth. Carolina Vineyards and Coastal Wine Boutique both offer tastings for a quick break while getting your shopping done. And you can buy a bottle or two of your favorite to take home and enjoy in front of the fire later. To make sure you are really cozy at the end of the day, pick up some bamboo sheets, towels or a comforter from Cariloha to make you comfy as your head hits the pillow at night.

Finally, pick your favorite spot for a hot meal. Whether it's comfort food you're craving or fine dining, look no further than Barefoot Landing. A smooth cup of Maryland crab soup from Flying Fish, loaded potato soup from Wild Wing Cafe (while you watch a game on one of many TVs throughout) or chili from Johnny Rockets will kill the chill in your bones. Lobster ravioli from Greg Norman Australian Grille or hot banana peppers stuffed with bread sausage stuffing from Umberto's will certainly make all things right after coming in from the cold.

Get out, dress up, eat up and warm up all in one visit to Barefoot Landing.
