Valentine's Day Doesn't Have to be Just February 14th

Posted in Special Events , Dining , Shopping

With so much activity and everyone wanting to profess their love for their significant other on Valentine's Day, there's a slim chance you might not be able to get into your favorite restaurants if you haven't already made your reservation. Yes, you could go to that place with the golden arches and dollar menu, but if you've been in a long term relationship, what does that say about how much you love your spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend? And if you're in a new relationship, that definitely does not scream "I care about you" let alone "I Love you"!

Single folks, who says you can't celebrate as well? Love isn't always reserved for your beau. What about your besties? They are always there for you when you need them. Maybe the week of Valentine's Day is a good time to share the love with them as well?

So if you haven't made your plans for the 14th or are working that evening, why not pick up a gift or do some shopping before the big day, then shoot for Friday night, February 16th for dinner? Then you can celebrate longer and get in quicker to most restaurants.

For the shoppers, Antica Murrina is offering 20% off the whole store now through February 17th. Black Market Minerals has a special on jewelry and stones from February 8th through the 14th. Get 15% off all regularly priced jewelry or 15% off all heart shaped stones. At Del Sol, get 10% off any SOLIZE Sunglasses by mentioning VIP or 15% off two pair.

Wild Wing Café is offering a great romantic dinner option on Friday night, February 16th which includes filet, shrimp, she crab soup plus romantic drink specials.

The Alabama Theatre is hosting Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers as part of a Children in Need Benefit on Sunday, February 11th or of course their regular show One The Show almost every other day of the week for those who love to see a show for the Valentine's Week date.

So, Valentine's Day doesn't always have to be just for lovers and it doesn't always have to be celebrated on February 14th. Any special moment shopping, eating, seeing a show or just strolling with your BFF or your significant other at Barefoot Landing is a Valentine's moment.
