RE: Barefoot Landing Assists Community in Hurricane and Flood Relief Efforts With Benefit On Saturday, October 20
DATE: October 10, 2018
As the Grand Strand and other surrounding areas continue to clean up after Hurricane Florence and the flooding that followed, Barefoot Landing joins in the effort to raise funds and collect donations with a benefit to be held on Saturday, October 20, from noon to 8 p.m. The event will take place in the newest area of Barefoot Landing, Dockside Village, and will include live music, Barefoot Landing restaurants and eateries offering food and beverage sales from noon to 5 p.m., and various children's activities.
Live music from Wet Nose Dogs, The Grassabillies and The Kid Drew Band will take place in the amphitheater throughout the day and attendees are invited to bring a chair, blanket or beach towel and enjoy music from the lawn.
Other activities include the Barefoot Landing pumpkin patch, a Jack-O-Lantern inflatable and hay rides from noon to 8 p.m. Costumed stilt walkers, character appearances, petting zoo and face painting will be available from noon to 5 p.m.
Barefoot Landing has partnered with Waccamaw VOAD and SCNeedsHelp, a collection of nonprofit organizations helping in the relief efforts. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or items for donation to the event and a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated.
