Barefoot Landing Is Quickly Becoming A Must-Stop Destination For Boaters Along The Intracoastal Waterway

The Development Of Dockside Village And The Addition Of Finger Docks Have Led To An Influx Of New Visitors To The Property

August 26, 2019, North Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach's only waterway shopping, dining, and entertainment complex, is celebrating its first full summer season featuring newly-installed finger docks along the Intracoastal Waterway, and boaters have raved that the docks are a hit.

Twenty finger docks were installed and opened earlier this year along Barefoot Landing's Dockside Village located on the Intracoastal Waterway. The docking area had limited docking for boat traffic until the new development of Lucy Buffett's LuLu's, Taco Mundo and the transformation of the property opened the destination for more boaters. Boaters have reported the ease of getting in and out of the docks.

"We have been so pleased to see this new influx of boaters coming to Barefoot Landing," said Kim Kelley, marketing manager at Burroughs & Chapin. "They lend so well to the culture of the property — park your boat for free, grab a bite to eat at one of our many restaurants, shop at a few of our stores and relax with live music through the summer or on Friday or Saturday night in the spring and fall at our new amphitheater."

Barefoot Landing allows daytime docking and is home to unique shops, indoor/outdoor dining, a playground, an amphitheater and plenty more for the family to enjoy.

The finger docks at Barefoot Landing's Dockside Village provide a wonderful and welcoming space in North Myrtle Beach for boaters to leave their boat for the day and enjoy a variety of activities around property.

"Before this addition, we heard from boaters that there weren't many places for them to dock," Kelley said. "Now, Barefoot Landing is giving them the place to stop, dock, eat and play on the Intracoastal Waterway."
