NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC, – Smokin' Hot Grill & BBQ won the honor of Best Chili at the House of Blues Chili Cookoff & Craft Beerfest on Saturday, October 19th. House of Blues patrons were given ballots and sample portions of chili from each competing restaurant. The guests were asked to rate the competing chili in order from their favorite to least favorite. After the votes were cast, winners were announced and Smokin' Hot Grill & BBQ took first place. Just three weeks prior, Smokin' Hot won the title of Best Entrée at the Irish Italian International Festival on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach for their Brunswick Stew.
"Our entire staff is so proud! We work as a team and win as a team and this recognition from the community excites our staff and solidifies the fact that they are part of something special," said owner Chris Tobin. "Each and every person on our team, from management down, adds to the Smokin' Hot experience. Our general manager, Wendy Sissell, who arrived early on Saturday to oversee the preparation of the Chili for competition, was shaking with excitement as she walked up to receive the award."
