Summer has come and gone and that "still feels like Summer" sizzle of September is behind us… Ladies and Gentlemen, we have officially entered into the Autumn season this October at Barefoot Landing! From pumpkins to pints and costumes plus a Halloween classic, this month's festivities are for anyone that loves to eat, drink and spook all things fall!
New this year, the Pumpkin Shack in Dockside Village offers that perfect pumpkin photo op for the whole family! Whether serious or a little spooky to sweet and silly, snap a shot any day of the week. Then, pick out your favorite pumpkin to take with you for purchase on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. (While supplies last). (insert link and pics)
The first ever OktoberFest! at Barefoot Landing takes place on Friday, October 15th from 4pm to 8pm and on Saturday, October 16th from noon to 8pm! Enjoy food and drink specials at participating restaurants and sweet treat spots with a purchased wristband, plus live music including the SteubenvilleTootlers German Oompah Band from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday afternoon. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. The event ends with a spectacular fireworks show on Saturday evening at 8pm! Halloween weekend is also full of spooktacular fun for the family, even the furry members!
Join us for BooFest! On Saturday, October 30th from noon to 4pm for kid friendly entertainment and costume contests for separate age groups and a pet costume contest for your favorite furbabies!
After the event, grab some dinner at any of your favorite Barefoot restaurants, do some shopping and come back to a night under the stars with the Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus! Bring a blanket or chair (or borrow one of ours) and relax as you enjoy this free showing on the Dockside Village Amphitheater lawn starting at 7pm.
The month ends with the most famous Halloween tradition of them all… Trick or Treat! Your whole family can dress up as your favorite ghouls, goblins, characters and superheroes and get all the candy goods from participating merchants from 5pm- 7pm on Sunday, October 31st! Plus, don't forget live music on several Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
