Spring, it's the season of the year that we see renewal. From the blooming of plants and flowers, to sweet families of birds and furry friends welcoming little ones to the world, it's a time for new beginnings. For Barefoot Landing, it's a time for a new event, SpringFest! on Saturday, April 9th from Noon to 4pm, where we welcome you to stroll the sidewalks of Barefoot enjoying artisan vendors, sales, food sampling, acoustic musicians and more!
But it's not all about food and unique finds, SpringFest! allows us to give back to Current Transitions, a local non-profit organization that provides on-going life skills for individuals with cognitive disorders.
Here's how it works: You can purchase tickets from $1 to $5 increments at two locations on property and while you are enjoying savory samplings from some of our premier restaurants and eateries, including Gator Jambalaya from Beef Jerky Outlet or Steak Tips with White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes from TBonz, or snacking on Gourmet Popcorn from Colette's or satisfying your sweet tooth with a treat from the new Crafty Cow or Sweet Molly's, a portion of the proceeds will be given to Current Transitions with each sampling ranging from 1 – 5 tickets. How awesome is that? Fill your belly and giving back at the same time, that's something we can all get behind! So now that you know what you will be eating, let's talk about those unique finds we promised. For that, we are welcoming local artists to showcase their latest masterpieces. From jewelry, clothing, candles, paintings, pottery and more, you are sure to find something to spruce up your home. And what better season is there to do a little sprucing up than spring?
Don't forget, while you're strolling that many of our Barefoot Landing retail merchants are getting in on the day's activities with sidewalk sales of their own.
