Imagine sitting under the stars, the gentle breezes coming from the waterway, popcorn in hand, enjoying a blockbuster movie with your entire family! Starting on October 1st, you can do just that at Barefoot Landing during our Movies in the Courtyard series, featuring a new movie every Saturday in October starting at 7 pm.
With family favorites, both old and new, we have a line-up that will be sure to delight everyone. Our first feature will be Happy Feet 2 on October 1st. This Warner Bros . computer animated, musical comedy is the sequel to the 2006 hit, Happy Feet.
On October 8th a true classic comes to life with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. This 1982 science fiction fantasy by Steven Spielberg unites a lonely boy and his new "extraterrestrial" friend, dubbed E.T. It is the type of movie you can watch over and over again.
October 15th brings The Lego Movie to the Courtyard. This 2014 adventure comedy brings the Lego line of construction toys to life. The story recounts the adventures of a Lego mini figure as he tries to stop a tyrannical businessman who is determined to glue everything together in the Lego worlds. With voices from Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson, this is one for the whole family.
The Goonies, another classic, will be showing on October 22nd. In this 1985 adventure comedy, a group of pre-teens on an adventure discover a treasure map and decide to try to uncover the reward, while fighting off opposition from a crime family and other obstacles.
The grand finale of the Movies in the Courtyard series, Hocus Pocus, comes on October 29th following the annual BooFest! family fun event. This 1993 fantasy, horror comedy with a cult like following, portrays three villainous witches who have been inadvertently resurrected by a male teenager in Salem, Massachusetts.
All movies start at 7 pm and everyone is encouraged to bring their own seating. Movie goers will receive one free sample bag of Colette's movie theater popcorn and will be able to take advantage of free kids' activities from 6 to 8 pm.
