Posted in Dining , Shopping

You've watched every game leading up to this, hoping your team would be one of the last two standing and playing on February 5th, the NFL's biggest day of the year. Whether your team is in or out one thing's for sure, all the hype surrounding the "Big Game" gets everyone excited!

There is, of course, the game, which is particularly important if you're a fan of the Patriots or the Falcons, but who can ignore the anticipation of hilarious or tear jerking commercials, fabulous foods and the much awaited half time show! Even the person who sings the National Anthem deserves some discussion and review.

Whether you're a fan of football or not, chances are you'll be watching at home, with friends or at a party out somewhere. Viewership has increased by 22.4 million in the last ten years through 2014 according to Nielsen and the last five games have the most viewership surpassing the most watched February 1983 final episode of M*A*S*H with 106 million viewers.

This Sunday is also the second highest day of food consumption only behind Thanksgiving Day itself. Chips, pizza and beer are always staples at any party, but Barefoot Landing has other great options to make your party a huge success! The Beef Jerky Store has plenty to choose from, everything from sauces, jerky treats of all types and flavors to other tasty snacks. And who doesn't love popcorn? At Colette's you'll find plenty of popcorn variety, appealing to all fans. Looking to score a winning touchdown at your party? Then don't forget the sweets! Pralines from River Street Sweets, taffy from Wee R. Sweetz or a variety of fudge from The Fudgery are sure to have your guests begging for more. You can also order up some burgers from Johnny Rockets, pizza from Ultimate California Pizza or wings from Wild Wing, all of which will make your party the envy of all others!

If celebrating and watching the Big Game out with the crowd is more your speed, Barefoot Landing hot spots like Wild Wing, TBonz and Bully's will keep everyone in viewing range with multiple TVs so you can catch all the action. Even the commercials.
So whether you're a fan of Brady and Bellicheck , Matty Ice or your allegiance is somewhere in between, there are plenty of places to watch and plenty of food and drink to consume. So suit up, call your friends and make your plans for the Big Game on Sunday, February 5th!.
