Half Way Through Summer, But Still So Much to Do at Barefoot Landing

Posted in Entertainment , Dining , Shopping

Don't fret, summer may be half way over, but there is still a lot of time left to enjoy all the great things that warm weather brings at Barefoot Landing.

Starting with breakfast, the House of Blues has an all you can eat breakfast buffet that will knock your socks off and keep you coming back for more. Every morning starting at 8 a.m., you can begin your day with rockin' good eats before you head out for adventures, shopping and more!

After filling up on grits, eggs and other southern delights, stroll on over to the Salt Shaker Boat Tours where you and your friends can drive your own boat on this guided boat tour down the Intracoastal Waterway. Or if you'd rather relax and let someone else do the driving, check out the Barefoot Princess for Sight Seeing or Dinner Cruises through the summer. Relax and let the wind blow through your hair as you see more sights on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Maybe bumper cars or a euro bungy are more of the type of activity that the kids want. Barefoot Amusements opens every day at noon and the kids can enjoy a variety of rides from the carousel over the water to swings, a train and more. Looking for wildlife? Not only will you see birds, turtles and other animals in your strolls around the property, but you can view alligators, snakes, lemurs, tortoises, marmosets, monkeys and UTAN, the King of the Crocs, at Alligator Adventure. Stick around and watch a feeding or a show to get the full experience. And ask about their 2nd Day Free Promotion.

At this point, it's time for lunch or even dinner. Wings or a salad from Wild Wing Cafe, burgers from Johnny Rockets or Bully's, pizza from Ultimate California Pizza, seafood at Flying Fish or Joe's Crab Shack and of course, BBQ at Stillhouse BBQ or anything else you can imagine can be found at one of our many restaurants. Or a light snack is easy to find as well. Cool down with some of the best ice cream around from The Crafty Cow, Sweet Molly's or Kohr's, or pick up some fudge from The Fudgery, homemade taffy from Wee R. Sweetz, freshly made pralines from River Street Sweets or fresh Colette's Popcorn with new flavors featured every day as well as the traditional favorites of movie theater and caramel flavored popcorns.

Shopping is definitely on the itinerary. Looking for North Myrtle Beach souvenirs can be hard, but not at Breezin' Up where everything is about our home town. If cooking is your thing, check out The Olive Shoppe, Crabby Jack's or Barefoot General Store where you can find all sorts of hot items to help you out in the kitchen. Stop by and pick up a thing or two for the beach or something special to wear for a night out from Tara Grinna Swimwear, Antica Murrina, Francesca's, White HouselBlack Market, Chico's or Random Boutiques.

No night is complete without some live entertainment. SummerFest! takes place every evening starting at 7 pm. Get your toes tapping with live music, stilt walkers, face painters, characters, kid's karaoke and of course our fireworks shows every Monday night at 9:30 pm. For a complete schedule, click here. Or head over to the Alabama Theatre or House of Blues for a show. There's always plenty of excitement at either of those venues.

So don't be sad, you haven't missed the excitement that comes with the summer at the beach! We have it all right here at Barefoot Landing and we'd love to see you. Relax, Unwind and enjoy everything that we have to offer while you're in town and walk away with a smile and memories to last a lifetime!
