Fall brings to mind the colors of autumn; vibrant red and yellow leaves, the bright orange of pumpkins and the warm browns of hay and corn. It's a favorite time of year for many. Cooler temperatures and less humidity mean being outside is a lot more enjoyable.
So put on that sweatshirt and pair of jeans that have been stored away for months and come on out to Barefoot Landing to enjoy some of your favorite cool weather activities. Hay rides every Friday and Saturday from 4 to 8 pm can always put you in fall frame of mind. Listen to the sounds of live music as you ride with the sounds of bands every Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 pm through October 26th. And you can even pick out your own pumpkin to buy for carving at the Barefoot Landing Pumpkin Patch every Friday from 4 to 8 pm, Saturday noon to 8 pm and Sundays noon to 4 pm.
Come out to help your neighbors affected by Hurricane Florence during the Hurricane Relief Benefit Saturday, October 20th in Dockside Village of Barefoot Landing. Sample foods from various Barefoot Landing restaurants and treateries, take part in kids activities and enjoy entertainment all starting at noon and ending at 5 pm. Live music will be on stage from noon to 8 pm. Donations will be accepted for Waccamaw VOAD and SCNeedsHelp and a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated as well.
Wrap up this fabulous fall month with the kids' favorite – BooFest! on October 27th. Dress up your kiddies and your furries in their Halloween best and bring them by for a chance to win prizes during the pets and kids costume contests. Registration begins at 11 am and the contests start at noon. Experience other activities for the whole family including a petting zoo, bounce house, pumpkin patch, stilt walkers and more until 4 pm.
But we're not done yet. Bring your blanket or lawn chairs to take in a free showing of Hocus Pocus on the lawn at 7 pm that night.
Then the grand finale of fun, Trick or Treat on Wednesday, October 31st from 5 to 7 pm. Stroll throughout Barefoot Landing with the kids and their tricks for great treats from participating merchants.
