(Nov. 14, 2022) – Barefoot Landing is kicking off the holidays with its annual Lighting of the Landing at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 on the Pepsi Stage in Dockside Village. The Lighting of the Landing will feature a visit from Santa, holiday music and dance performances from local entertainment including The Alabama Theatre, Academy of Dance and Fine Arts, NXT LVL Dance Experience and others. Following the performances, enjoy the lighting of Barefoot Landing's 22-foot tree and then a firework spectacular over the lake. Holiday festivities continue throughout the season with numerous other activities. The first is a Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. Starting Thanksgiving weekend and every Saturday and Sunday until Dec. 18, the Phoenix Carolers will stroll through Barefoot Landing from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. serenading guests with holiday favorites. The fourth annual Holiday Golf Cart Parade, which is open to businesses, individuals and families to participate in, is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11. To continue the holiday celebrations, Pets Light Up Our Lives, a ceremony to honor our pets and a fundraiser for The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 in Dockside Village.
