North Myrtle Beach, S.C. (Nov. 14, 2025) — To kick off the holiday season, Barefoot Landing is celebrating its annual Lighting of the Landing at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. on the Pepsi Stage in Dockside Village.
The Lighting of the Landing will feature a visit from Santa and holiday performances from local dancers and musicians including The Alabama Theatre, Academy of Dance and Fine Arts, Festive Brass and more.
Following the performances, enjoy the lighting of Barefoot Landing’s more than 25-foot-tall live tree, followed by a fireworks spectacular over the lake.
Holiday festivities continue throughout the season with numerous other activities.
The Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K, is set for 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27. To register for the race, visit NS Promos.
On Saturday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m., the Pets Light Up Our Lives ceremony will be held in Dockside Village to honor pets and raise money for the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. Information on how to purchase ornaments and get involved will be available on the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach’s website soon.
The 7th annual Holiday Golf Cart Parade is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, and is open to businesses, individuals, and families. Prizes will be awarded, and an after-party will be held at LuLu’s.
A new addition to this year’s event is a Pet Costume Contest. Dress your furry family members in their holiday best and enter them to win prizes during the parade. Walkers are welcome.

The annual Race Into the New Year 5K for the Risen Christ Christian Academy will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 8:30 a.m. To sign up, visit https://runsignup.com/Race/SC/NorthMyrtleBeach/RaceintotheNewYear5k.
Finally, to take us into a brand-new year, New Year’s Eve fireworks will take place over the lake at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec.31
